Trip Itinerary
Pre-Trek Arrival Day: Welcome to Lombok & Hotel Transfer
We’ll pick you up at Lombok International Airport or another preferred location on Lombok Island and transfer you directly to our accommodation in Senaru. Meet your trekking guide who will provide a complete briefing to better prepare you for the journey. Relax, gather your energy, and enjoy your evening in Senaru.
Day 1 Senaru Village (601m) – Crater Rim Senaru (2,641m)
06:30 AM: Wake up early and enjoy your breakfast at the hotel.
07:45 AM: We’ll take a short 10-minute walk to the Rinjani Trek Center in Senaru to complete official registration.
08:00 AM: Begin the trek directly from the gates. The first few hours dapple through dense, shady tropical rainforest rich in local flora, vocal bird life, and native butterflies.
Break at Pos 2 (1,500m): We will dample a restful pause at the Montong SATAS shelter for some hot tea and biscuits prepared by the crew.
Pos 3 Mondokan Lolak (2,000m): Continue upward for about 2 hours to reach Pos 3. Rest while your porter team sets up a freshly cooked, hot lunch.
Climbing to the Crater Rim: Post-lunch, leave the jungle trail for a steep, 2-hour ascent up to the rim. The trees begin to thin, giving way to volcanic terrain.
05:30 PM: Arrive at the Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m). Look over a breathtaking panoramic sight: the deep turquoise Segara Anak lake, the smoldering cone of Gunung Baru Jari, and a magnificent sunset over Bali's Mount Agung. The porters will have your tents and mats fully prepared. Enjoy a warm dinner beneath the stars as the air gets brisk and camp overnight.
Day 2 Crater Rim Senaru (2,641m) – Senaru Village (601m) – Transfer Out
06:30 AM: Watch the golden sunrise emerge over the caldera with a hot beverage and a full breakfast.
07:30 AM: Bid farewell to Mount Rinjani as we begin the descent back to Senaru village. We’ll trail down through the lush rainforest. Keep your eyes peeled — if we are lucky, we can see Lombok’s rare ebony black monkey swinging in the branches.
Lunch on Trail: The descent will take approximately 5 hours, with a relaxing break for lunch served along the forest trail.
01:00 PM – 02:00 PM: Arrive back at Senaru village (601m). Our waiting private vehicle will receive you and transfer you to your next stop on Lombok Island (Airport, Senggigi, Mataram, Kuta, or Bangsal harbor) to complete your journey.
