Hiking and camping at the Crater Rim Stampol (2,450 m above sea level) starts from Senaru for 2 days and 1 night. It is the perfect trip for beginner hikers, nature lovers, or an excellent alternative trek to hike in the Rinjani region whenever regular national park trails are temporarily closed.

This trip is open daily all year round, as it does not follow Mount Rinjani National Park seasonal closures. Instead, it operates legally under the community eco-tourism policies of Teres Genit village in Senaru, Bayan, with official permits issued directly by the local village government.

2 Days 1 Night Stampol Crater Rim Itinerary
Pre-Trek Arrival Day: Welcome Pickup & Senaru Hotel
We will pick you up anywhere across Lombok Island (Lombok Airport, Mataram, Senggigi, Kuta, or Bangsal Harbor) in a private air-conditioned car and transfer you directly to your hotel in Senaru at Pondok Guru Bakti.
Upon check-in, meet with our team for a warm welcome and briefing explaining the upcoming trip, followed by free time to relax.
Day 1 Senaru – Stampol Gate – Crater Rim Stampol (2,450m)
08:00 AM: Enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel in Senaru.
08:30 AM: Our driver will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the entrance gate of Stampol Crater Rim (approx. 30 minutes drive).
09:00 AM: Complete registration and ticket check-in at the gate, then begin the hike accompanied by your licensed mountain guide and local porters.
The Hike & Lunch: The trek takes about 6 hours through peaceful, shaded forests and mountain ridges, including designated stops for hot tea, biscuits, and a freshly cooked hot lunch along the trail.
Late Afternoon: Arrive at Crater Rim Stampol (2,450 m). Take a well-deserved rest while taking in the magnificent panorama of Mount Rinjani and the rolling hills of North Lombok. Enjoy a freshly prepared warm dinner, stargazing, and sleep comfortably in your dome tent.
Day 2 Sunrise – Descent to Village – Optional Waterfall – Transfer Out
06:00 AM – 07:30 AM: Wake up early to catch a glorious golden sunrise over the ridges of Rinjani while sipping hot coffee or tea, followed by a warm breakfast at the campsite.
08:00 AM: Pack up camp and begin the descent back down towards the village trail (takes approximately 4 to 5 hours, including lunch break and resting stops along the way).
Afternoon: Arrive back at the village trailhead where our car will transfer you back to Senaru.
Optional Waterfall Tour: If you did not visit the waterfalls on arrival day and still have energy, you have the option to visit Senaru’s lush waterfalls for a refreshing 2-hour trip.
Transfer Out: After the trip, our private driver will transfer you safely to your next destination on Lombok Island (Airport, Senggigi, Mataram, Kuta, or Bangsal Harbor). Finish trip with unforgettable memories!
