Crater Rim Tetebatu and Mount Sangkareang offer one of Rinjani's most rewarding hikes. Starting from Tetebatu village (750m ASL), this 2-day, 1-night adventure takes you through dense monkey forest, open savanna, and up to the 2nd highest peak in Lombok at 3,200m.
From the top of Gunung Kondo / Mount Sangkareang, enjoy panoramic views of Segara Anak crater lake, Mount Baru Jari (active volcano), Rinjani summit, and even Mount Agung in Bali on a clear day.

Hiking Itinerary
2 Days & 1 Night Adventure Schedule
Pickup from Lombok Airport, harbor, or any hotel. 2-3 hour drive in an air-conditioned private car to Tetebatu. Check into your hotel and meet your guide for a detailed route briefing.
Start at 750m ASL. A short car ride to the Rinjani Gate (800m). Hike through dense rainforest to Pondok Belanda (Netherlands Huts), then open savanna with views of Rinjani. After lunch at Post 2, climb the steep slope to Crater Rim Tetebatu (2,650m). Set camp, enjoy dinner, and sleep under the stars.
Wake at 4:00 AM for hot drinks. At 4:30 AM, push 1.5 hours to Gunung Kondo / Mount Sangkareang peak (3,200m). Witness a spectacular sunrise over Segara Anak Lake. Descend to base camp, pack up, then 5 hours down to Tetebatu. Shower at our office before transfer to your next destination.
